In order for the content you upload to your Facebook and Instagram pages to not be subject to the restrictions, you'll need to whitelist them. Whitelisting will enable you to upload any art tracks, album videos, DJ mixes, official videos and live streams of your own music without them being fingerprinted by Facebook.
Whilst whitelisting your pages will prevent the videos from being blocked, it'll also prevent them from being monetized. Whitelisting will not affect your music being used in User Generated Content videos, so fans that use sections of your music in videos on Facebook and Instagram will be subject to the restrictions, and their use of your music will be monetised.
To whitelist your pages, please reach out to the Community Support team or your AWAL contact and provide a link to your Facebook and Instagram pages. We recommend you do this as soon as possible to avoid the disappointment of your future content being blocked on the platform. Don’t worry, any music that was already uploaded to your artist’s page is safe and will not be blocked or removed due to this new deal.
It’s also worth noting that Facebook videos won’t currently have adverts placed on them, so you won’t need to whitelist your channel to prevent this.
