Cumulative Scheduling is increasingly being used to schedule tracks with the aim of releasing them consecutively with different release dates in order to build one final product. It’s helpful as a way of allowing you to maximise the impact of each track while still having the final product be an EP or album and keep your artist page tidy on Spotify and other similar stores.
The easiest way to approach the upload process is to upload the complete EP first. You can then use the existing tracks function on the uploader to quickly build the single track products.
Please note, the existing track feature will only be available once the EP has been approved. Please see our Guide to Timelines which goes into more detail about required approval and delivery lead times.
When setting up distribution, be sure to stagger your release dates as shown in the example below:
Nov 11th: Track 1
Nov 18th: Track 2
Nov 25th: Track 3
Dec 3rd: EP
Once the EP goes live on services, contact us via the Portal to issue a takedown (link to KB article) on the single track products.
