AWAL Insights are text statements you’ll find throughout the app. They are designed to process huge amounts of data, beyond what is shown in the app, and pull out the most relevant and meaningful insights about your performance.
AWAL Insights cover a wide range of topics such as:
- Relative performance on Spotify vs. Apple
- Fastest growing tracks
- Most engaged listeners (looking at repeat listens)
- Percentage of streams coming from a specific playlist
- Unusually high growth in a country / region
Sometimes AWAL Insights will provide you with a tip that you can’t get from the data presented in the app, other times they will pull out the most interesting fact about a module. AWAL Insights are always a great place to start when using the AWAL App, as they point to what is most interesting about your data.
AWAL Insights update daily, so stay on top of them for the most interesting and useful tips about your performance.
Here are a few examples to highlight how they work
The Listeners chart will show you the breakdown of unique listeners by gender and age, i.e. If you have 100 listeners, and 10% are female in the 18-24 category, then you have 10 listeners in that group. This doesn’t tell you how engaged these listeners are because it doesn’t consider how often they listen to your music.
AWAL Insights process a larger set of data to tell you which gender and age your most engaged listeners are, by looking at repeat listens. The two facts taken together give you a richer picture of who your listeners are.
Another example would be that the Usage Overview and Top Tracks can tell you how many streams and listeners you have for a track, and even which five tracks have the most streams. AWAL Insights can process a larger data set to tell you which of your tracks is growing the fastest, which may not be a top track yet.
