Located in your Portal, the Release Status Tool allows you to monitor your release from upload to delivery.
After submission, you can expect to find your release in one of the following 5 status sections on your Release Status Tool:
Queried
Your release will appear in this section if it is returned to your Uploader for amendments after initial submission. We have an expert Operations team reviewing your releases to ensure all assets, including metadata and cover artwork, meet store specifications and requirements. If amendments are needed before your release can be delivered, we’ll return the release to your Uploader for editing and will send you an email outlining the issues. This email will come from noreply@awal.com, so please be sure to remove any spam filters for this address.
Please visit our article Top 5 Reasons Your Releases Aren’t Approved The First Time to find examples of the most common product issues to fix before delivery can be made to the digital services.
Draft
Your releases pending first submission will appear in the ‘Draft’ section of the Release Status Tool. You’ll need to complete all steps of the Uploader and click the ‘Submit’ button at the end of the Upload journey for your release to disappear from this section.
Visit our AWAL Uploader Guide for step-by-step instructions on the upload process.
In Review
Your releases will appear here after submission in the Uploader. Our Operations team will review your release to ensure all assets meet the requirements laid out in the iTunes Style Guidelines.
If we locate any issues with your release, we’ll return it to your Uploader and you’ll be able to locate the release in the ‘Queried’ section of the Release Status Tool. You’ll need to make necessary amendments and re-submit the release for it to re-appear in this section.
Approved
Your releases will display in the ‘Approved’ section of the Tool once it has been submitted, reviewed by our Operations team, and all assets have been accepted. Releases will display in the ‘Approved’ section of the Release Status Tool until your Release Date (selected during the Upload process).
You can track a release in the ‘Catalogue’ tab on your Portal after it has been approved, where you will be able to monitor its delivery to the digital stores.
Refused
If we are unable to distribute your release, your submission will be refused and you will be notified by email. Reasons for release refusal can be related to copyright issues or if you submit your queried product 3 times without making necessary amendments.
