How do I log in to the AWAL App?
You can log in to the AWAL App using the same username and password that you use to log in to the AWAL Portal.
Why can’t I log in to the AWAL App?
The AWAL App needs to process live data, so you’ll need to have at least one Apple Music or Spotify stream in the last seven days to successfully log in. Once your activity increases, you can you use your AWAL Portal username and password to log in to the app.
Note: If this is your first release with AWAL, you won't be able to access the app until your first AWAL release goes live. Please wait a couple of days after release day to attempt logging into the App.
I have access to multiple AWAL accounts. How do I switch to a different AWAL account in the AWAL App?
To switch to a different AWAL account in the App, toggle to the More tab in your navigation bar at the bottom of the App and click ‘Change Profile’.
How are my Top Tracks and Top Playlists determined?
Your Top Tracks are based on total streams for the selected service, YouTube, Spotify, or Apple Music. This information is displayed on the Overview and Artists tabs in the AWAL App.
The Top Playlists module displays your top five playlists based on the total number of streams of your music for the selected service. View this module under the Artists tab on the App, but also in the Tracks tab if you’d like to view your top five playlists for a specific track.
What are Push Notifications in the AWAL App?
Push notifications are used to alert you when your track has been added to a priority Spotify or Apple Music playlist. You can manage your push notification settings in the More tab on the App.
Priority Spotify playlists are those that:
- Have been featured in the Browse section in any country in the last 30 days
- Have more than 5k followers
I received a notification that my track has been added to a playlist. Why can’t I find the playlist in my Top Playlists section of the AWAL App?
The app currently only displays the top five playlists for each artist and track. If the number of streams coming from a playlist isn’t enough to make it into your top five for that artist/track, then it won’t be displayed within the App.
If you’ve just been added to a playlist and received a push notification from the App, it is unlikely that the playlist will have generated enough streams yet to be displayed as one of your top five playlists.
Why can’t I find one of my tracks in the App?
You will only be able to view tracks that AWAL has delivered for you within your AWAL App. If you’ve transferred catalogue, we will only be able to display data from the date the release went live through AWAL.
If you don’t see your AWAL track listed in the App, it’s likely because we don’t have any streaming data for Apple Music or Spotify just yet. For recently released tracks, it may take up to 48 hours before we have any data to display. If you can’t find an older track in the App it’s likely because the track hasn’t received any streams on Apple Music or Spotify in the past seven days.
What are AWAL Insights?
AWAL Insights are designed to provide you with an additional level of understanding of your data. You’ll find these insights displayed throughout the app, covering a wide range of topics such as where your most engaged listeners are located, what is driving your increased streaming activity, or what your fastest-growing track is. AWAL Insights update frequently, so keep checking the App to see what’s most important.
Why can’t I view my listener data for Apple Music and Spotify in the AWAL App?
Apple Music and Spotify have recently changed its policy regarding sharing listener data with third parties, and we are therefore not able to display Apple Music and Spotify listener data at this time.
Why is there no image associated with my artist in the AWAL App?
The AWAL App displays the artist image that is displayed on the artist’s Spotify page. If you do not yet have an artist image on Spotify, then you won’t have a photo on the AWAL App. Visit our Artist Image Updates article for more information on updating your photo on the digital services.
