Spotify has launched their new Promo Cards tool to help artists grow their audiences on the platform. As independent artists who juggle many roles and focus on multiple aspects of your release strategy at a time, it can become challenging to produce engaging promotional assets before a release goes live. Using Promo Cards makes it easy to stay on top of your marketing plan and introduces a new way to connect with your fans. You can celebrate wins like landing on a playlist, drive new fans to follow you, and showcase your next release.
With Promo Cards, you gain more control over how you’re able to present yourself as an artist to audiences. One visit to Spotify’s site and you can quickly create customizable assets to share with your listeners on social media. The tool currently supports English, Spanish, Portuguese, and German languages.
The three types of Promo Cards available to you are artist, track, or album. You can also create personalized playlist cards if your release lands on one of Spotify’s 32 most popular playlists, such as POLLEN, Pop Rising, Radar, and Are & Be.
Note: Not all of Spotify’s playlists are currently eligible for the Promo Card feature. If your track lands on one of the eligible playlists, you’ll see the relevant playlist Promo Card populate in your search results automatically.
Follow the instructions below to create the Promo Card of your choice:
- Head over to artists.spotify.com/promocards and select “Get started”
- Search by artist, track, or album to locate your desired content
- Click the artist, track, or album content and customize it by choosing the background color and aspect ratio
- Download the asset to share on your social channels
