YouTube currently offers two analytics platforms, YouTube Analytics and Analytics for Artists.
YouTube Analytics is a tool that is available to anyone who has a standard YouTube channel. You can access it by clicking on your artist image at the top right corner of your YouTube dashboard after logging in and selecting “Your YouTube Channel” from the drop-down menu. See here to learn more about YouTube Analytics and tips to understand your data reports.
YouTube also launched a new dashboard called Analytics for Artists that allows artists with an Official Artist Channel to monitor their audience, global reach, and video performance across the entire YouTube ecosystem in real-time.
The main difference between the two Analytics dashboards is that while the YouTube Analytics show data attached to your personal YouTube Artist Channel, the Analytics for Artists offer insights on all the videos across all of the channels where your music resides including your own artist channel, your topic channel, and VEVO if available.
You can access YouTube Analytics and YouTube Analytics for Artists both on Desktop in your YouTube Dashboard and on the YouTube Studio App available on Android and iOS. With the YouTube Studio app, you can easily respond to comments, access your analytics, and receive custom notifications.
