Spotify Pre-saves are links which allow your audience to ‘save’ your upcoming release so the track, album, or EP is automatically added to their library and queue on release day. A successful pre-save campaign can not only peak your fans’ interest and incentivize early engagement, but can also increase your streaming activity on release day.
Note: Pre-saves are not the same thing as pre-orders. You can set a pre-order date on step 6 of the Uploader, but this does not generate a pre-save for your release.
We do not currently offer a feature to automatically set up pre-saves on Spotify as part of the standard AWAL agreement. However, we encourage you to consider the use of other services to create a pre-save for your release. Please find some of our recommended services below:
All you should need to generate a pre-save link is your release’s UPC, which you can find in the Catalogue tab on your Portal. You should enter the UPC in the same entry field on the pre-save services where you'd normally enter a pre-release link. You can set your pre-save link to 're-scan' on release day, and the services should pull through the active links to your release once it is live.
