When a product is approved by AWAL, product identification code assignment takes place. Once a recording has been assigned an ISRC, we need to keep within the strict rules for ISRC assignment. This rings true for both unreleased music and music that's currently live.
Generally we are unable to swap the audio on a release unless there is an error within the file you initially uploaded. If you think you qualify for an audio swap, please get in touch with us via the Contact Us page on your Portal and share the details of the difference between the audio in our system and the audio you'd like to swap it with, as well as a download link to the new audio file.
We will be able to assess whether we can swap your audio or if a new ISRC needs to be assigned. If ISRC assignment is required, we will need you to upload the new audio as a new product, with our usual 4 week lead time in place, and issue a takedown of the original product. We won't be able to link the stream counts if the release was already live.
To prevent this in the future, we encourage you to confirm you've used the correct audio by clearly labelling files and using the audio preview tool within the Uploader.
