When a product is approved by AWAL, product identification code assignment takes place.
Once a recording has been assigned an ISRC, we need to keep within the strict rules for ISRC
assignment. This rings true for unreleased music and music that's currently live, if it's approved that means an ISRC has been assigned to the exact recording used.
You should contact the Community Support Team with details of the difference between the audio in our system and the audio you'd like to swap it with.
The team will be able to assess whether a new ISRC needs to be assigned. If it does, we will need you to upload the new audio as a new product, with the usual 4 week lead time, and issue a takedown of the original product. We won't be able to link the stream counts if the release was already live.
If the team deem the differences between the two audio files as within the guidelines for ISRC assignment, they'll need a download link to the audio. It's best to send this over within your original message so we have it on hand anyway.
To prevent this in the future, we encourage you to confirm you've used the correct audio by clearly labelling files and using the audio preview tool within the uploader.
