If you have agreed with another AWAL member to move releases between your two accounts, we can help with this. A good example of when this would be necessary is if an AWAL artist has parted ways with management and would now like their own account.
Transferring releases between AWAL accounts is an easy process that we can assist with. Please get in touch with us via the Contact Us page on your Portal to initiate the transfer process. If you want to move releases between two AWAL accounts, please follow the steps below:
- The owner of the account the products are currently on should reach out via the Contact Us page and specify which UPCs they agree to transfer.
- We will get back to you within a few working days, confirming your request and providing a reference number.
- The owner of the new account should reach out via the Contact Us page, listing the same UPCs. They should include the reference number we provided to the current owner in Step 2.
- We’ll then process request to transfer the releases, which can take up to a few weeks to finalize.
Note: We cannot process any product transfer requests without explicit permission from both parties.
Once a product has been transferred from one AWAL account to another, the new owner of the release will only be able to see sales data from the date of transfer. All streaming data, analytics, and royalty information that took place prior to the date of transfer will be accounted to the previous AWAL account. We cannot transfer this data.
The previous AWAL account will no longer see the transferred products within their Catalogue section but will be able to use the Digital Sales Tracker and Income Analysis Tools to view data from when they owned the product. They’ll also continue to see the product on their statements until final royalties from the digital services are accounted to us for the time period they had the releases on their account.
