AWAL accounts to you around the 15th day of each month. We issue statements and corresponding payments 45 days after the end of the calendar month in which we receive revenues from digital services for your music*.
Note: AWAL does not pay through services like PayPal. We only offer payment via wire transfer. Additionally, payments are automatic and you will not find an option to withdraw your royalties in your Portal.
It’s vital to enter accurate bank details that support wire transfers. You can add and edit your bank details under Settings > Client Details on your Portal. From this screen, it is possible to change the bank account into which your revenue is paid, but not to change the payment currency that was set up when your AWAL account was first created.
In order to keep bank fees down, there is a payment threshold in place, which means you will not receive payment for the relevant statement period if your statement closing balance is below the threshold outlined in your agreement. In this instance, your balance will be carried over to the next statement period.
*The digital services account to us at different times, with iTunes being the first one. If you release in January you shouldn't expect to start seeing royalties until at least mid-April. The rest of the services will follow after this.
