YouTube Music is YouTube’s official streaming platform, available in 94 territories. Any recordings you upload to AWAL will be delivered to YouTube Music automatically so they’re available to stream on the YouTube Music app. The platform has both a Free tier and Premium tier:
- Free: The YouTube Music free tier allows users to access and stream the YouTube Music catalogue with ads placed in between tracks.
- Music Premium: YouTube Music offers an ad-free tier that requires a paid subscription. The subscription allows listeners to access YouTube Music and YouTube content ad-free. This tier also allows offline & background listening modes.
In addition to your tracks going live on YouTube Music, our deliveries will also generate an “Art Track” (packshot video) that appears on a Topic Channel created for your artist on YouTube. These videos cannot be taken down and the image displayed will always be the cover artwork you’ve uploaded with your release. You can read more about Art Tracks here.
YouTube Music streams will be accounted to you in your monthly statements.
Note: YouTube Music operates independently from Content ID. You can opt out of Content ID without affecting your YouTube Music deliveries.
