There are two ways to monitor the performance of your release. The Digital Sales Tracker found within the Reporting section of the Portal will give you an overview of live sales data, streaming data and plays across a number of key digital services.
The AWAL App is the best way to stay on top of this data while on the go, and will give you a more in-depth look at your demographics and playlist data. The AWAL App also provides AWAL Insights, which pull out key conclusions from your data. The AWAL App will only show streaming and demographic data for Spotify and Apple Music at this time, with more services added soon. Learn more about the AWAL App here.
Note that it takes about 24 hours for the data to appear on the Portal or the App, from the time your release is available on streaming services.
Using these tools to monitor your release is a great way to determine how your marketing and promotion is performing and where you should focus your attention. However, you must also consider the royalty statements and the accompanying Income Analysis tool, which are based on finalized royalty collections. Royalty statements should be reviewed for more granular information concerning sales by each service and territory.
