Cumulative Scheduling is increasingly being used to schedule single track releases with the aim of building them into one final product, such as an EP or album, later on. This release schedule will help you maximize the impact of an individual track, build a final product (EP or album), and keep your artist page tidy on Spotify and similar stores.
The easiest way to approach the upload process is to upload the singles individually first. Each single should have it’s own cover artwork and unique release date. Once the singles have been approved, you can use the Existing Tracks feature on step 2 of the Uploader to quickly add your approved tracks and easily build the album/EP product.
Using the Existing Tracks feature will ensure the metadata, audio, and ISRC associated with the single release matches the track information included in your final EP or album.
When setting up distribution, be sure to stagger your release dates as shown in the example below and be mindful of our 4 week lead time:
- June 12th: Track 1
- July 24th: Track 2
- August 15th: EP
Once the full product goes live on services, we can issue takedowns for the single releases if you reach out to us with the UPCs of the releases via the Contact Us page on your Portal. Please be sure to check your streams have linked between the singles and full product before requesting takedowns.
