Amazon currently has four tiers as part of their Amazon Music service. These tiers differ in cost, but also in service and catalogue offerings:
- Amazon Music Unlimited: This tier requires a paid subscription and provides on-demand access to 50 million songs. The tier is ad-free and allows users to listen offline, as well as provides full access to playlists & stations.
- Amazon Music HD: Amazon Music HD is currently only available in the US, UK, Japan, and Germany and requires a paid subscription. Users will be able to listen to millions of high definition tracks, that are of ‘CD Quality’
- Prime Music: With Prime Music, users have access to a catalogue of 2 million songs selected and curated by Amazon, as well as thousands of stations and select playlists. This tier of Amazon Music is included with Prime memberships at no additional cost.
- Amazon Music Free: Amazon Music Free is the ad-supported tier of Amazon Music, which allows users access to 2 million songs (same selection as Prime Music).
Note: The type of Amazon subscription a user has also determines what Amazon Alexa will be able to play.
